A Weekend Getaway at Château Élan: The Perfect Wine Country Escape in Georgia
Sometimes you don’t have to travel far to feel like you’ve escaped completely. If you’re looking for a relaxing weekend filled with beautiful scenery, incredible food, luxurious accommodations, and award-winning wine, Château Élan is one of the best destinations in Georgia.
Located just outside of Atlanta in Braselton, Château Élan offers the charm of a European-inspired winery resort without leaving the state. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, celebrating a special occasion, or simply looking for a relaxing weekend away, this resort has something for everyone.

Staying at The Inn
For our visit, we stayed at The Inn at Château Élan. The rooms were comfortable, elegant, and made it easy to unwind after a day of exploring the property. One of the things I loved most was how peaceful everything felt. The resort is beautifully landscaped with vineyards, walking paths, gardens, and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the scenery.
It’s the kind of place where you naturally slow down, whether you’re enjoying your morning coffee, taking a walk around the grounds, or relaxing after dinner.

Wine Tour & Tasting
No visit to Château Élan would be complete without experiencing the winery.
We booked the winery tour and tasting, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The tour walks you through the winemaking process, shares the history of the winery, and gives you a behind-the-scenes look at how the wines are produced.
After the tour, we enjoyed a guided tasting featuring several of Château Élan’s wines. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast or simply enjoy trying something new, the experience is approachable, educational, and a lot of fun.
I definitely recommend booking your tour ahead of time, especially if you’re visiting on a weekend.

Dining Around the Resort
One of the biggest surprises was just how many fantastic dining options there are on property. Every restaurant offers a different atmosphere, so you can easily spend an entire weekend without ever leaving the resort.
Marc Restaurant
For an elevated dining experience, Marc is perfect for a special evening. The menu focuses on seasonal ingredients and beautifully prepared dishes that pair perfectly with the winery’s selections.
Versailles Restaurant
Versailles is a wonderful spot for breakfast or brunch before spending the day exploring the resort. The atmosphere is bright, welcoming, and the perfect way to start your morning.
Louis’ House of Bourbon
If you’re looking for a cozy place to end the evening, Louis’ House of Bourbon offers an impressive bourbon selection, handcrafted cocktails, and a relaxed atmosphere that’s perfect for winding down after dinner.
Paddy's Irish Pub
One of our favorite stops was Paddy's Irish Pub. The pub has an authentic Irish feel that's hard to find in Georgia. With hearty pub food, a great selection of beers and ales, and live entertainment on select evenings, it's a fun, casual place to grab lunch, watch a game, or wind down after a day of wine tasting.

Even if you don’t have every minute planned, you’ll find yourself enjoying the slower pace.
